Privacy Policy
What ClickMend collects when you scan a page, and what we do with it.
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This policy explains what information ClickMend collects when you use the website, run a Health Check, subscribe, or monitor destinations — and what we do with it. We have written it to describe what the product actually does, not what it might do.
What we collect
- URLs you submit. The destination addresses you enter for scanning or monitoring, and the results of those scans.
- Your email address, when you provide it to unlock a report, subscribe, or receive alerts.
- Your network (IP) address, from ordinary web request logs.
- Scan and monitoring records — scores, detected issues, score history, monitoring settings, and verification status.
- Subscription status from our payment processor: whether you are active, when you renew, and whether a payment succeeded. We never receive or store your card number.
- Technical logs — timestamps, browser information, errors, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Anything you send us when requesting support.
Scanned URLs are sent to Google
To measure a page, ClickMend submits the URL you provide to Google's PageSpeed Insights API, which loads and analyzes that page. This means any URL you scan is disclosed to Google and handled under Google's terms and privacy policy. Google's analysis also draws on aggregated real-user performance data for the page where available.
Do not scan URLs that are confidential, that contain sensitive information in the address itself, or that you are not authorized to disclose to a third party. Scanned pages are loaded as an ordinary visitor would load them; we do not submit credentials or access pages behind a login.
How we use the free-scan limit
The free tier allows two Health Checks per week. To enforce it, we record a count against your email address and your IP address in a weekly bucket. This is abuse prevention — it is why we retain an IP address alongside a scan — and the counter resets each week.
How we use information
- To run scans and deliver scores, issues, estimates, fixes, history, monitoring, alerts, and verification records.
- To enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse of the service.
- To process your subscription and contact you about billing, security, service changes, or support.
- To improve scoring accuracy and service reliability.
- To send monitoring alerts you have enabled.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your scanned URLs with other customers. We do not use your data to advertise to you on other platforms.
Public verification and the Results Board
ClickMend Verified records are designed to be public for eligible monitored destinations, and may show the destination, current score, verification state, last verified date, selected metrics, and score history. We will not publish your company name, URL, or results without your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove or anonymize the record.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and request logs), Google (PageSpeed Insights analysis, as described above), Stripe (payment processing and card handling), and an email delivery provider for reports and alerts. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in to a purchased session and to remember your email between scans. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site.
Retention
Scan results and monitoring history are retained while your account or monitoring is active, so we can show you score changes over time. Free-tier counters expire weekly. Logs are retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information — including your scan history and email address — by emailing [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from monitoring alerts and marketing email at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor valid requests under those laws.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
ClickMend is a business service and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and our provider stack change. The "last updated" date above will be revised, and we will give notice of material changes by email where we have your address.
